Education for Excellence
-
Like in many other industrial and
service activities, majority of the persons engaged in the textile and
clothing industry have not undergone any formal education or training.
Though reasonably skilled, they fail to understand that their slip-shod
method of work results in things going wrong elsewhere, and ultimately
the product falls short of the level of excellence needed in a
competitive globalised market economy. It is imperative that these
artisans of modern machinery get an overview of the total industry of
which they form a part. Moreover, they need to be informed of the major
technological developments that have taken place in India and in the
world.
